In the beginning, like a child needs help to learn to walk, everyone need help to concentrate, needs guidance and someone to help them up again, so do we adults need help and guidance to begin meditating
Like all forms of art, mediation needs discipline, commitment, and motivation. Yes, you do need to meditate everyday, not for long, 5 or 10 minutes in the beginning. With time, 30 minutes will feel as though you have only meditated for 10 minutes
Mantras, meditation music or a guided CD are wonderful aids. The mere chanting of the above mantra, will bring a slowness of breathe and heart rate, muscles will slowly relax, your mind will eventually clear.
